Worship With Us

National Bell Ringing, August 25, 2019

Holy Redeemer is a multicultural congregation that gathers every Sunday, in person and on Zoom, to worship, learn, talk and act as a congregation centered in Christ. The Liturgical tradition of Holy Redeemer is “High Church” with a deep appreciation of our African-American heritage.

We worship according to the rites of the Episcopal Church of the Book of Common Prayer.  Our congregation utilizes the Episcopal Hymnal and Lift Every Voice and Sing II; however, due to the Covid restrictions we are not singing as much as we used to. We encourage all who are seeking a deeper communion with the Lord and one another to eat and drink of the mystical food of the Eucharistic feast which we are celebrating on Sundays. We rely on “Communion Kits” which are convenient single servings of wine and wafer, enclosed in one package and not exposed to anyone until the recipient opens it themselves.

Service Times

We recognize the need to be together and worship together. We are doing hybrid church where we hold service in our sanctuary as well as on Zoom, with both video and call-in options. We do ask that congregants who attend service still follow CDC guidelines for meetings: please maintain safe distance and please do not attend (in person) if you are sick. Always know that you are welcome to wear your mask if you feel more comfortable that way.

Our Sunday Worship service begins at 10:00 AM.

Tuesday Morning Prayer with Dennis Higbee is at 8:00 AM. This is a Zoom service.

Wednesday Bible Study is at 8:00 AM. This is a Zoom service.
