Music is integral to our Worship at Holy Redeemer. Each Sunday during the school year our worship is supported by the Parish Choir. Our music selections incorporate a variety of musical traditions: in addition to the Hymnal 1982, Holy Redeemer honors our African-American Heritage by using the Lift Every Voice and Sing hymnal as well as other musical resources.

We have two grand pianos and a Kris Harris pipe organ, all three donated by the late Charles Lovely. The Organ was completed in 2015.

Visiting musicians are invited to provide instrumental and choral music to help make worship even more meaningful, particularly for Easter and Christmas. Our congregation honors young musicians and we have been blessed to have the Rocky Mountain Children’s Choir and the St. Elizabeth’s Children Choir join us for worship.

The Parish Choir at Church of the Holy Redeemer provides choral music to support our worship. The Choir is made of members of our church community and membership is open to any and all. The Choir is directed by Kevin Kennedy who is a gifted musician, choir director and vocal coach with many years of church music experience.

Each year, the Church of the Holy Redeemer creates an opportunity for high school and college students to sing with the Parish Choir. These choristers learn to lead a section, develop good sight reading skills, receive a small stipend, and therefore experiences a professional singing job. It is wonderful to see the choristers develop and improve through out their tenure.

Kevin is always looking for new choir members. Rehearsals are on Sunday mornings at 9:00 am which is a good option for people who would have trouble with a weekday rehearsal. Please come enjoy their offering Sunday morning. If you are interested in joining the choir, please contact Kevin Kennedy through the office at
