Our Ministry Team
Fr. Stephen Wilson was called to be rector of the Church of the Holy Redeemer in spring of 2011 after nearly three years of service as the priest in residence. The Rector oversees the spiritual, pastoral and liturgical life of the congregation.
Stephen is a native of Colorado and attended the Church of the Holy Redeemer with his family in the late 1970s. Since September 2008, he has served Holy Redeemer first as Priest in Residence and more recently as Rector. Stephen graduated from the London School of Economics with a Bachelor of Science in Economics in 1989 and received his Masters of Divinity from Seabury-Western Theological Seminary in Evanston, Illinois in 1995. He was also ordained in the Episcopal Diocese of Colorado in 1995. Stephen returned to school in 2004 and received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Denver in 2007. Stephen is a bi-vocational priest who works part time at the church and full time in the community. Father Wilson is an avid community gardener, maintains a private law practice, enjoys cycling, basketball, movies, and climbing the occasional mountain. In his spare time, he is a volunteer at the St. Francis Center and the Denver Indian Center.
Director of Music and Organist
Kevin Kennedy has been a professional coach and accompanist in the Denver area for many years. After his education at the University of Denver, he taught for many years at Arapahoe Community College in Littleton, and then at the University of Denver. He has served as an opera coach at James Madison University in Virginia, and is currently a voice teacher at the University of Northern Colorado. Kevin has worked for Central City Opera, Opera Colorado, the Colorado Symphony, and was music director/conductor of the Colorado Ballet in 1992/93. For over 25 years he was music director / organist at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, and held the same position at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception from 1996-97. Kevin maintains a private studio where he teaches voice and coaches singers, some with international careers. Kevin joined us in July 2010 as organist and music director for Holy Redeemer. We are very pleased to have him as a part of our team.
Parish Publications and Communications
Pandora oversees the parish publications and communications.
Pandora Smolinski is a sixth generation Coloradoan who was born and raised in Fort Collins. She graduated from MSCD in 2010 with two bachelor’s degrees: one in creative writing and one in history. Pandora is an aspiring writer and amateur photographer who enjoys cultivating flowers as well as playing with her grand-daughter as much as possible.
